Born on 25-th February, 1953 in village Vasilevka, Gomel Region.
In 1974 he graduated from Vitebsk Pedagogical Institute, Department of graphic.
Member of Belarusian Union of artists, painter.
Works of art by Wassili Kostjuchenko are at funds of National Art Museum of Belarus, Belarusian Union of Artists, Museum of Modern Art (Minsk), Mogilev Regional museum and private collections of Russia, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Poland, France, Luxembourg, etc.
In 2006 he won Prize of President of the Republic of Belarus.
